Al Azhar School Uniform Policy

Purpose

The uniform policy at Al Azhar School is designed to foster a sense of unity, equality, and respect for Islamic values. By adhering to this policy, students will embody the principles of modesty and discipline that are integral to our educational environment.

Boys’ Uniform

  • Tops: Long-sleeved shirts or polo shirts in camel. Shirts must be loose-fitting and can feature the school logo.
  • Bottoms: Long pants. Pants should not be tight-fitting.
  • Outerwear: Sweaters, vests, or jackets, adhering to modesty guidelines.
  • Headwear: Optional kufi or cap.

Girls’ Uniform

  • Tops: Long-sleeved blouses or tunics in camel. Blouses and tunics must be loose-fitting and modest.
  • Bottoms: Long skirts or loose-fitting pants in camel. Skirts should be ankle-length.
  • Outerwear: Cardigans, sweaters, or jackets, adhering to modesty guidelines.
  • Hijab: Headscarf covering the hair, neck, and shoulders in off white colour.

General Guidelines

  • Colour Scheme: Camel
  • Fabric: Breathable, durable, and easy to clean.
  • Footwear: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
  • Accessories: Minimal and modest. Jewellery should be limited and modest.

Policy Details

  1. Compliance: All students must wear the approved uniform during school hours and at designated school events.
  2. Inclusivity: Adjustments will be made for special needs on a case-by-case basis.
  3. Flexibility: Uniform adjustments are allowed for extreme weather conditions or specific activities as approved by the school administration.
  4. Non-Compliance: Non-compliance with the uniform policy will result in the following steps:
    • First Offense: Verbal reminder and notification to parents.
    • Second Offense: Written warning and meeting with parents.

Third Offense: Disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the school administration
